International Women's Day 2021
KIDS hosted a gathering of SHG representatives on International Women's Day. On this graceful occasion, Kodungallur Municipal Chairperson Mrs Shinija inaugurated the programme. Renowned on-screen artists Mrs Mary Joseph Mampilly and Mr.JincsonThankachan who are popularly known as “AmmamayumKochumonum”, were the special guests.
Observed International Women’s Day by Dedicating Mammogram Unit 2020
World women’s day was observed with great fervor and gaiety. Upholding the theme “I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women's Rights”, over 3000 women gathered at St. Michael’s Cathedral Vachana Koodaram with Great Spirit and enthusiasm. Gala was inaugurated by Ms.Anjaly Nair, film actress. Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Karikkassery, Bishop of Kottapuram diocese presided over the meeting and Fr. Paul Thomas Kalathil extended warm welcome to all guests and participants. On this occasion KIDS launched its novel project Snehamritham - Mobile Mammogram Unit (Health on wheel) with the generous support of Conference Episcoppa Ittaliyana (CEI)/Caritas India for a noble cause that is to reach out to the unreached cancer patients. In recent times, cancer especially breast cancer has become a Villon in destroying family in terms of wealth, health and ultimately loss of life. The solution is preventing it through awareness generation and early diagnose. To promote early detection, care and treatment mobile unit has been made functional.
CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2018
World Women's Day was celebrated on Thursday, March 8, 2018 under the auspices of Kottapuram KIDS. Rev_Dr_Joseph_Karikkasseril, Bishop of Kottapuram, Kodungallur Diocese presided over program. Alias George, Former Kochi Metro Managing Director, Inaugurated the ceremony. Rajasree Shenoy HR Head Tata Consultancy was the chief guest. Besides she inaugurated Digital Literacy Program. Reshma Joseph,Bank Manager Indian Bank North Paravur inaugurated loan distribution program. Aju mathews, Beena Arun, Mercy Thomas were felicitated. Program was wound up with the vote of thanks by Rev Fr Sibin kallarakkal.

Various eminent persons were participated. Mrs.Shyamala Surendran(Founder, Dharani School of Performing Arts Trust,Kochi,Kerala) was the chief guest of the ceremony. Mrs.Shyamala Surendran - a perfect model for an empowered and liberated woman. Like very much her concept of a woman empowered. (Not blaming man for her misery but behaving like a woman who has overcome her fears to be herself)

Padmaja Venugopal Inaugurated the ceremony. Smt. Deepa Pillai, M G M, NABARD, Thrissur delivered the keynote address at the meeting. Smt. Sherly Rejimon, Designer, Milan was the special guests at the meeting. Mr. Narayanan, Manager Moothakunnam Branch inaugurated loan distribution program. Fr. Augustine Kattassery, Assistant director KIDS, Smt. Narayani, C Judit Dr. C D Sebastian etc also felicitated.
Women's Day 2015
Women’s Day was celebrated on March 7th 2015. The theme was Women and health as part of our promotion for our “Snehamritham” Cancer campaign programme. We were privileged to have Ms. C.K. Janu as chief guest for the function. Her fiery and vibrant speech on Empowerment of Women especially focussing on health sent electric waves to 500 women gathered there.
