The aim of the Tribal Development Department is to implement activities for the integrated social and economic development of the tribal communities of Athirapilly in Thrissur District.
- Implemented “Jalanidhi Project” of the Kerala Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (KRWSA).
- Two facilitators still continue to work in 14 tribal villagers with the following activities.
- Medical camps and distribution of medicines.
- Training on cultivation of medicinal plants.
- Awareness against substance abuse.
- Awareness of effective agriculture practices.
- Awareness of child nurturing practices.
- Health and hygiene, and proper nutrition among the tribals
