The aim of Community Health Department is to promote community health through awareness and implementing health support activities in the grass root level. For years KIDS has made remarkable progress in developing its community health and nutrition programme. In order to save the community from the snares of allopathic medical system which has become very expensive to the poor, KIDS has formulated an integrated health package which includes preventive as well as promotive medical care. During the past 2 years KIDS’ special focus was on dealing with the growing dreadful Cancer death among the local people. After realizing the grossness of its growth through a survey conducted by KIDS, it began to take immediate measures to cure the affected and to control its growth through various modes of action.
